Student & Parent Highlights
Isla: Freshman
"I love marching band because it's very inclusive and anyone can join marching band. It's a really great community and Mrs. H does such a wonderful job of making everybody feel like part of the family."
Isla is finishing her freshman year and enjoyed her time in the pit of the marching band, and can't wait for next year. Isla is also a member of the WLN symphony orchestra.
Nin & Isla
"This was my first year having a high school student and being a marching band parent. I loved being part of the pit crew because it gave me a chance to be with my daughter. As a full time working parent of four kids, I need to get anytime I can get with my daughter, and this was such a fun way to volunteer my time. I can't wait to do it again in the fall."
Thank you, Nin, for volunteering your time and your big energy to our music program. Parents like you are what keep us going!
If you would like to nominate a student and/or a parent to be featured in our newsletter, please contact Liz Vachon at lizvachon@gmail.com We are looking for band, choir, and orchestra students and parents that are having fun being involved in our program.
