SPIRIT WEAR STORE: There is still plenty of time to get your band gear! CLICK HERE to shop the store. We will be leaving the store open for the season, and it's never too early to shop for the holidays. You deserve that hoodie.
Wish List: Our November banquet plans are already underway and there is an Amazon Wish List if you would like to help make the night a success! Feel free to share the wish list with Grandma and Grandpa, Aunts, Uncles, or friends of the band! CLICK HERE to shop! Thank you!
Pit Crew: Parents, we need you! The Pit needs you! Setting up The Pit takes many hands, but we were short those hands this previous week. We only have a certain amount of time on the field, and we want to respect that time, and ensure that our students are set up properly to be able to perform their very best. We can't do that without your help. We are begging you to sign up for the next football game and help out the Pit. This is a low commitment and also, you get to see and hear the performance from the sideline, and there is nothing like it. The Pit students need you, don't let them down!

In Loving Memory of Lisa Dutton
One of our Northern/Choir families is facing an unimaginable loss. Earlier this week, Lisa Dutton, wife and mother, sadly lost her battle with cancer.
During this incredibly difficult time, we would like to give our Northern community an opportunity to surround the Dutton family with love and support. If you would like to contribute a gift card to help with meals or participate in the family’s Meal Train, please CLICK HERE.
Door Dash gift cards are being collected by a family friend. Melody Arabo was a choir family a few years ago, and is close to the family. You can Venmo her at @MelodyArabo, and be sure to include your name so she can sign the card for you. Send your Venmo Door Dash Donation by Thursday, September September 17th.
Please keep the Dutton family in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate this heartbreaking loss. Every gesture of kindness and support means so much during a time like this.
Student & Parent Highlights
Dressed to Impress Thanks to Sarah Fike
If you have not had the pleasure of meeting Sarah Fike, then let me proudly introduce you to this incredible band parent. Sarah has been outfitting our marching band in their uniforms for five years! Sarah was an integral part in ordering, unpacking, organizing, fitting, and dealing with the "Great Pants Debacle 2026." The pressure was on, and you didn't see her sweat. Everyone has pants, and even more pants are on the way. (Please note the pants issue came from the manufacturer, and Sarah had to navigate with the company to make it right). A fun fact about Sarah is that she does not have a student CURRENTLY in the marching band! Say whaaaat? Yup, you heard it! There was a gap year between her recent graduate and her upcoming marcher, and she agreed to stay on to see us through outfitting everyone in the new uniforms. We asked Sarah how she felt about volunteering and this is what she said:
"For the past five years, I’ve had the pleasure of volunteering with the marching band as Uniform Chair and helping wherever needed. I’ve loved getting to know the amazing students and marching band families, and I’m excited for my youngest to join the Marching Knights next year!"
Sarah, thank you isn't enough to express our gratitude for your time and commitment to making the band look fabulous!
If you would like to nominate a student and/or a parent to be featured in our newsletter, please contact Liz Vachon at lizvachon@gmail.com We are looking for band, choir, and orchestra students and parents that are having fun being involved in our program.
