We’re so excited to kick off the season with our amazing Marching Knights! The first full marching band rehearsal is tomorrow from 6:00–8:00 PM at CHS.

A special welcome to all our new members—we’re thrilled to have you join the marching band family! Get ready for a fun and energetic evening as we start making music and memories together. Let the season begin!

If you haven’t submitted your Physical form yet, please make sure to turn it in tomorrow. All students are required to submit the completed 2-page form, signed by the doctor, parent, and student.

🔁 Important Note:
Please provide a copy of your physical—not the original—as you may need it for other sports at Northern. We also require the paper copy, since we are not a pay-to-play sport and do not have access to uploaded forms.

📍 Drop-Off Details:
Band reps will be available to collect forms and answer any questions in the CHS hallway between the gym and cafeteria from 5:00–8:00 PM.

As we gear up for an exciting marching band season, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for all our students is our top priority. To help achieve this, we ask all parents to complete a Criminal History Check, which is required for volunteering.

We expect each family to contribute by volunteering at least three times throughout the season. This includes essential roles during band camp. At the end of the form, please email it to Diane Kindervater at WLN for processing.

Volunteering is a crucial part of our band's success and essential for building a strong community. Your involvement and support are invaluable and greatly appreciated.

Band Camp is just around the corner, and we’re still in need of many food donations (trust us—they eat everything and then some!) and volunteer slots to be filled. This is the biggest two weeks of our season, and every family is expected to contribute both food and time to help make it a success.

Please consider signing up for an overnight slot at Away Camp. By contract, camp cannot happen unless all overnight volunteer positions are filled—your help is essential!

Uniform Fittings
We will be fitting students for their Marching Band uniforms from Tuesday, July 22 to Thursday, July 24, between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM.
Fittings will take place over students' clothing, so please dress accordingly. 

Marching Shoes & Gloves: Fitting & Ordering – Wednesday, July 23
We will be fitting and placing orders for new marching shoes and gloves on this day.

• Gloves: All Marching Knights (except pit, percussion, and color guard) need gloves. We recommend purchasing two pairs as a backup.
• Color Guard: You’ll receive separate instructions regarding your specific shoes.

Costs

• Marching Shoes: $48 per pair
• Gloves: $3.50 per pair

Payment Options
