What an outstanding final Orchestra Concert! It was filled with incredible group performances and Concerto Solos. Congratulations to Caleb Bauer, Sam Hulka, and Claire Spoutz on your beautiful Concertos. These performances had everyone on their feet wishing for an encore.
This summer, current sophomore, Emly Bryant will be traveling the world with Blue Lake International playing her cello. What an incredible experience she will have, and we wanted to wish her lasting memories, and safe travels! Here is what she will be doing oversees!
"As part of the Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp International Tour, me and string orchestra musicians from around the country will travel around France and Germany performing for local communities. I am excited to stay with 5 different host families along the way. With each family I get to experience their communities, culture, and what life is like in their town. I can’t wait to see different parts of France and Germany. I even have one travel day where we get to see Luxembourg."
Wow, Emly! This will be a trip of a lifetime! Safe travels!
Fun fact: The Music Boosters paid for the case that her cello will travel in, and this case will last for years for the next student that has this opportunity. Thank you for supporting the Music Boosters by purchasing concessions, attending our collage concerts, and much more. Your monetary contributions make dreams come true for our students, and for that, we thank you!!!

Student & Parent Highlights
Meet Megan!
Megan Wurster is our new Marching Band Rep and we are very excited for her to join the team. Without band reps, we have no band camp, so we are thrilled that she has decided to give her time to us. When asked about volunteering, here is what she said,
"Volunteering is not just a pastime for me, it's a passion I have nurtured since I was 5. I love the feeling of making a difference in everything I do, and it's one of my favorite things to do. My journey in volunteering has been a long and rewarding one. I've been part of multiple organizations, each experience shaping me into the volunteer I am today. Now, I'm thrilled to bring these skills to the band. My time in the high school marching band gave me a firsthand view of the dedication and hard work our volunteers put in to run a successful music program. As I step into my new role as a Band Rep at Walled Lake Northern Music Boosters, I'm eager to share the behind-the-scenes work that goes into making a successful band. This work is not just important; it's vital. It allows the Director to focus on the music, and it's what makes our band thrive."
Thank you so much Megan for your enthusiasm and your willingness to get the job done so our band can shine!
Are you interested in joining the team of band reps? We are looking for one more. Please reach out to Liz Vachon at lizvachon@gmail.com for more information.
If you would like to nominate a student and/or a parent to be featured in our newsletter, please contact Liz Vachon at lizvachon@gmail.com We are looking for band, choir, and orchestra students and parents that are having fun being involved in our program.
