WE WANT YOU!
There are so many ways to get involved with your child's musical passion and here are some current/future needs to make our program successful:
Choir Representative: comes to the booster meetings monthly and reports on all things choir.
Uniform Chair: (shadow for the 2024/2025 school year, then take over): This position fits all band, choir, and orchestra students in their concert uniforms (NOT MARCHING BAND UNIFORMS). You do not need to be able to sew. You can do this volunteer job and still have a daytime job. You are in charge of when fittings happen. You will fit them at the beginning of the school year, and you will be in charge of the return of the uniforms. A few more details involved, but this is the basic overview. SO FUN WITH A FRIEND!!! Want more information? Contact Nicole German at nicolegerman422@gmail.com or Jody Klarich at jodyk1814@gmail.com
2 Marching Band Reps: (Shadow for the 2024/2025 school year, then take over). This is an incredibly important job and without it, the kids don't have band camp. PLEASE consider inquiring about this position to Amy Crossfield at wlnmbcampforms@gmail.com or Lisa West at west.lisa@hotmail.com.
Food Rep Shadows for Fall of 2025: Feeding the band is one of the coolest jobs you can have. Teenagers love to eat and they love when you feed them! Please consider shadowing our food reps or you can ask them any questions by emailing Ruth Jeffries at thejeffries73@hotmail.com or Val DePotter at vdepotter@att.net
Student & Parent Highlights
Toni and her son Hunter
Toni has jumped in head first to the volunteering gig for our Marching Band and is doing an outstanding job. Toni is responsible for our lotto ticket fundraiser, which gets our band thousands of dollars each year. Toni is not only a mom, but she also runs her own business! How does she have time for volunteering? With the support of the band boosters, her family, and friends. This is what Toni had to say about volunteering. "Even though I own my own business, I try to give as much back to the community. Being able to volunteer for the band raffle allows me to feel like I'm part of it even if I can't always be there."
Thank you Toni for your dedication to our Marching Knights!
If you still have any UNSOLD OR SOLD lotto tickets, PLEASE RETURN THEM TO THE BAND BOX MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 30TH!!
If you would like to nominate a student and/or a parent to be featured in our newsletter, please contact Liz Vachon at lizvachon@gmail.com We are looking for band, choir, and orchestra students and parents that are having fun being involved in our program.
The Daily Three Is Coming!
We need those lotto tickets! As mentioned above, if you have ANY tickets hiding at the bottom of a band bag, purse, tote, under a pile of papers on your counter, under the seat of your car, in the case of an instrument, it is now time to return them. We need ALL UNSOLD AND SOLD TICKETS!!! If you have any questions, please contact Toni at mstonim@comcast.net. Remember top seller gets $250 credit towards next year's marching band fees. Must be 18 years or older to purchase tickets.
