Your Band Reps are busy ramping up for our band camps! What can you do to prepare?

• Khaki Shorts - make sure you have your khaki shorts! They are part of the casual uniform which will need to be packed for Away Camp to wear for the show on August 5th.
• Water Bottle(s) - have one or two good water bottles that are labeled to bring to both camps. Stay hydrated!
• Shoes - make sure to have good running/walking shoes for camp. A LOT of walking / marching will be happening. If your student is not in shape, you may want to encourage them to start taking some walks.
• Sectionals - section leaders will be reaching out to your student to get together before camp for some meet and greets. Students should go and have fun if they're available!
• Physical - If you haven't gotten your physical yet, make that appointment asap. It must be turned in by June 12th.
• Volunteering - Sign-up Genius's will be coming out very soon! We ask that each MB family volunteer at least 3 times per season. Please sign-up to volunteer and donate food. We will have day and night opportunities. With 200 kids we need as much help as we can get!

Parent/Student Band Camp Meeting – Wed, July 19 @ 8 – 9pm, WLN Auditorium

This will be a meeting for parents and students to go over all the camp procedures for both home and away camp. Students will rehearse and then attend the meeting w/ their parents.

Home Camp – Monday July 24 – Fri July 28 @ 9am – 3pm.  

Away Camp Chaperone Meeting - TBD (sometime during Home Camp)

Away Camp – Monday July 31– Sat August 5

Friends and Family Preview Show – Sat August 5 @ 1 – 2pm on the WLN Football Field

Come on out & see what your Marching Knights have accomplished in 2 weeks of band camp! (No admission fees!)  You'll get your students’ stuff from the buses, check the lost & found lot for missing items, collect any meds sent in, and put that all in the car. Then, it'll be time to find a seat in the stands & watch the magic happen!

The casual uniform for marching band is khaki shorts and the black band t-shirt. New members to marching band will have this shirt provided to them. You will need the khaki shorts and black t-shirt for the preview show at the end of band camp. So please make sure you have those shorts before camp!

There will be LOTS of emails coming in the next few weeks regarding both Home and Away Camp, please be sure to read these as it’s important information for your Marching Knight. If you have a question, please check Membership Toolkit (MTK) as we try to keep it updated. And if you don't find an answer you can ask one of the Band Reps. They are listed on the site under Booster Board Contacts.

We’re using MTK for all our communications.  Make sure you have the URL bookmarked on your computer and phone. Lots of communications go out prior to camp and if Mrs. H sends an important email out, we update the Home Page with the information so it’s always at your fingertips!

We are still in need of more MEDICAL STAFF and PHOTOGRAPHERS.

SENIORS: Your posters are due the FIRST DAY OF HOME CAMP.

Just a reminder that payments are due for all marchers no later than July 15. If you have a balance it will be in MTK on the Home Page once you’re logged in.
